How to use this tool
- Open a PDF that contains bookmarks or an outline.
- Expand the bookmark list and select the chapters to extract.
- Review the selection; selecting a parent also selects its child entries.
- Click Split and Save to download the selected chapters as one PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can this tool split a PDF that has no bookmarks?
No. It uses the existing bookmark outline and does not infer chapters from page text. Use Split PDF to work with page numbers instead.
Does each selected bookmark become a separate file?
No. This tool combines the selected chapters into one PDF. Use Split PDF into Bookmark Files when you need one file per bookmark.
