Deskew Pages
📌 How it works:
1️⃣ Open a scanned or image-based PDF to straighten pages automatically or manually. The preview shows the output.
2️⃣ Auto-detect: projection histograms find the best angle within ±10° (demonstrated on the first page).
3️⃣ Coarse Rotation: if the page is off by 90°/180°/270°, click ↪️/↩️ to orient it first, then fine-tune.
4️⃣ Manual Adjustment: use the slider or input to adjust in 0.1° increments. Use ↑↓ for fine adjustments.
5️⃣ After deskewing, dark/white margins are cropped and the page is centered. The output filename ends with _deskewed.
⚠️ Text on deskewed image-based pages is not selectable (rasterized).

Frequently asked questions

What does automatic detection measure?

It uses projection histograms to search for a suitable deskew angle within plus or minus 10 degrees. Manual adjustments are available in 0.1-degree increments.

Will the output keep selectable text?

This tool rasterizes the processed pages. Text on the resulting image-based pages is not selectable or searchable.
